Bridal Veil Falls
Bridal Veil Falls is unique in that you can drive behind them. US Hwy. 64 used to pass behind the falls until rerouted for safety. Dripping water would freeze solid on the road in winter, and the road's hazard was effectively illustrated in December 2003 when an enormous chunk of rock fell onto the road from above, blocking it.
However, the rock has since been removed, and the small loop of road behind the falls still exists as a pull-off where you can drive behind them (if the weather is not cold enough for ice to form). There is ample parking as well.

Driving
Bridal Veil Falls is located right beside US Hwy. 64, between Franklin and Highlands, in the Cullasaja River Gorge. It's about 2.5 miles west of Highlands - you can't miss it, even if it weren't for the brown Forest Service sign in front. Drive right up to - and even behind - the falls!
